I've been a full-time tutor for 10 years and I love the subjects I teach. I look to inspire students in their subjects and try to find the best techniques to help each student learn and absorb; including memory games and learning tricks for those with dyslexia. As a dyslexic myself, I understand what can help. I teach French from beginners through to post-graduate level and Spanish from beginners to A Level, as well as English 11+ in all areas: verbal and non-verbal reasoning, comprehension and creative writing. I also working in expanding the emotional intelligence of a student and confidence building in individuals; helping students understand what is unique to them whilst making sure they don't go into interviews sounding like they've been prepped. 

During my degree in Modern European Languages, specialising in literature at Durham University, I went to University in France on an Erasmus Scholarship and have lived and worked as a teacher in Spain. I have lead workshops in Shakespeare in schools throughout Britain and can teach acting, voice and text/production analysis. Originally training as a TEFL teacher, I then taught Business English and English for Children in Spain and subsequently went on to teach at my training college. 

I believe in unlocking a student's potential, helping them to access the subject and adapting each class to their needs. I have been fortunate enough to teach all over the world and with children at both State and Private Schools. I have volunteered in the MFL department at Pimlico Academy and managed a Volunteer Scheme run by Tutorfair within Pimlico to ensure all GCSE language students have additional support.
